Join us on Sunday, April 26th, 2009, at 3:30 p.m. at Good Shepherd Church for our performance of the Mass in Troubled Times (Missa in Angustiis, aka "Lord Nelson Mass") of Haydn, with chorus, soloists, and orchestra. The Cornerstone Chorale brings together singers from northern Manhattan ─ primarily the neighborhoods of Washington Heights, Hudson Heights and Inwood ─ in the only classical community chorus north of 125th Street in Manhattan dedicated to providing quality concert programs with local talent in the local community.  The Chorale has performed concerts at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, local nursing homes and schools and is a “cornerstone” of a vibrant neighborhood music scene.

Rehearsals and Membership

The Chorale rehearses on Monday evenings, accompanied by an accomplished rehearsal pianist. Each project requires eight or nine rehearsals. Regular rehearsal attendance is required, and members are encouraged to join for the entire season, fall and spring. Membership is by audition, and at the discretion of the Music Director.
